Measures ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) in millivolts in the pool water. The ORP reading determines the amount of free available chlorine in a pool. This is the best way to measure chlorine. The ORP method will account for cyanuric acid reduction of chlorine effectiveness by showing a lower ORP for a given Free Chlorine  ppm.
